Breast cancer during pregnancy (PABC – Pregnancy Associated Breast Cancer) affects 1/3000 women. Recently, this percentage has increased due to the woman’s gestational age.
After surgery for breast cancer and after the end of treatments, a woman can have a child, even women with BRCA gene mutations. Pregnancy after breast cancer is not responsible in case of possible recurrence.
Male breast cancer accounts for 0.5-1% of all breast cancers. Risk factors are age, heredity, testicular disease, hyperestrogenism, Klinefelter’s syndrome.
